I remember years ago when grandad was picking me up to drive me to the cinema. I said to him "you know grandad none of us ever really thank you for driving us around like a free taxi all the time."


He just said he was happy to.


I asked why he was always so happy to pick all the grandkids up and drive us around to where we wanted to go. And he just smiled and said he enjoyed spending time with us, even if it was just those few minutes.


He enjoyed being with the people he loved and I will never forget that.
